Terrain Park Ski Lessons
Sunridge Terrain Park ski lessons are a new program, designed to introduce skills
and knowledge to those who are interested in trying terrain parks for the first
time, or for improving their skills in the park.
The lessons require that the skier is a "black" level skier or can demonstrate strong
parallel ski turns with good balance and confidence. The minimum age is 8 years
old, twin tip skis are strongly recommended and a helmet is mandatory.
Terrain Park group lessons are four lesson programs offered on the same dates as
our regular ski lessons. Private lessons are also available on request.
Small Terrain Park (Novice): Offered on Saturdays at 10am or Tue/Thu at 6pm.
Skier's should be able to easily link turns, and must have completed a minimum of
the black level lessons or have equivalent ability. A novice terrain park skier
has never ridden a jump, rail or box before and is ready to start riding small jumps,
rails, boxes and learning grabs.
Medium Terrain Park (Intermediate): Offered on Saturdays at 1:30pm
Prerequisite is completion of the Small Terrain Park level or be able to comfortably
ride small jumps, perform grabs and sliding on "ride-on" rails and boxes. An Intermediate
terrain park skier is ready to start learning 180's, styling grabs and jumping onto
flat rails/boxes.
Large Terrain Park (Advanced): Waiting list registration
The skier must have completed the Medium Terrain Park course and is ready to spin
180's on medium jumps, learn 360's and jump onto down rails and boxes.
The cost of the group Terrain Park lessons is $145 per person for four hour-and-a-half
lessons. Please pre-register by phone or online.
